Trazonil

Uses
Trazonil is prescribed for patients suffering from depression. It is a serotonin modulator which works by increasing serotonin levels, a substance naturally found in the brain which is a part of managing a mental balance. This anti-depressant will also alleviate anxiety and help with the shaky hands that are associated with depression in alcoholics.

Please note that this medication will not cure conditions it is used to treat, but it will help to manage the severity.

Dosage and administration
Always dose as directed by your doctor. Correct dosage can vary from patient to patient depending upon individual factors.

This medication is swallowed whole, alongside a full glass of water and a snack or a meal.

Typically, dosage is 1 tablet taken either once or twice a day. Your doctor should monitor your progress and increase gradually until an optimum dose for you is found.

Never stop taking Trazonil abruptly unless advised to do so by a healthcare professional. To avoid any serious side effects you should reduce your dosage and frequency of use slowly and gradually, allowing your body to adjust.

This medication needs to be used properly for at least 2 weeks before results can start to be seen.

Side effects
Some of the most commonly experienced side effects of Trazonil are listed below. If any persiste, worsen, or become worrying, inform your doctor as soon as possible. You may need you dose adjusted lessen the severity of side effects.

• Achy muscles
• Dry mouth
• Erection changes for men

Precautions
Before you begin using Trazonil, always make sure your doctor is aware of any other medication (including supplements, vitamins, and recreational drugs) you are taking, any other medical conditions you have, especially if heart related. Also make sure you doctor is aware if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you consume alcohol, or if you have any allergies.

If you have any upcoming surgery of any kind, always inform the surgeon or dentist that you are taking Trazonil. This is important as this medication could interfere with the functioning of the anesthesia given to you.
